Until the USA starts disappearing it's own citizens en masse , enabling genocidal maniacs such as Pol Pot, passing laws that punish the conception of females, and poisoning millions of it's own people with toxic waste, I think America has the moral high ground vs. China. Certainly America has a history where people have committed atrocities, but in America those people are typically remembered as villains. In China, horrific acts are not controversial, if they are even known at all. Furthermore, I take issue with your reference to the use of firebombs and nuclear weapons against Japan. The Japanese committed…
You end this with a nice sentiment, however, I for one think that the strikes in Syria were quite justified, and the way it was handled sent a message to U.S. rivals that they need to start to play nice. While in public those rivals are complaining and denouncing the strikes, privately I'm sure they are retooling their strategies. Biden needs to focus on China, and Covid, he can't be pulled into another quagmire in the middle east, and the strikes in Syria will hopefully slow the assaults against US interests in Iraq, long enough for Biden to address the major issues of the day.
The political situation in Washington D.C. today is terminal. While Americans from different political ideologies currently agree on very little, most do agree that there is a major problem. They may not agree on what that problem is exactly, but most do concur that the problem, whatever it is, has been compounded by a sheer lack of political diversity, a failed system of checks and balances, and an utter collapse of thoughtful discourse.
In this age of misinformation, the best answer to targeted political propaganda is not more thought control, but less
The rise of digital technology has allowed ordinary people to make movies, record their own music, and expand their creativity in ways previously unseen. The result is that today millions of people have access to technologies that replicate what was once very expensive and cumbersome, and thus separated the professional from the amateur.
For instance, today a musician can record and distribute songs on their smartphone, while a filmmaker can use that very same phone to record video, and then edit the film on a tablet while enjoying a latte at their favorite café. This same phenomenon has been experienced…
WASHINGTON D.C. (The Blunt Ogre) — Echoing the sentiments of many liberal-leaning voters, Trump has attempted to appeal to concerned environmentalists by calling on all of those who are concerned about the environment to not use their automobiles on November 3, as well as turn off all non-essential electrical devices such as TV’s, smartphones, and radios. To mark the occasion, the President has declared the first Tuesday of every November as the official day when all people who wish to fight climate change will show their support for the environment by staying at home.

If you want to confuse a non-native English speaker, there are plenty of ways to do it, but perhaps the most fun method is to utter some of the more commonly used catchphrases that us native speakers tend to take for granted.
When we take these phrases literally, they make absolutely no sense in the context that we use them in. Yet, the meaning behind these weird word combinations are universally understood in America, and oftentimes around the broader English speaking world.
Here are a few examples of some of these phrases, and how bizarre they are when we take…
The advent of social media has definitely given a soundboard to anyone who aspires to be a self-help guru. However, the original promise of the new technology was that social-economic gaps would be forever closed and that people around the world would be brought together in ways never before seen in all of human history.
Instead, most people have primarily used social media to do what they have always done; complain, talk about themselves, and find porn.
Rather than allow for a prosperous exchange of ideas, social media has instead allowed people to complain to others who previously did not…
I get it, Joe Biden does not fit the normal narrative of how a president should look and feel. He’s not exactly the perfectly composed and witty Ronald Regan, nor is he the charismatic and swaggeringly cool Barack Obama.
Joe Biden is not a perfect man and has said and done some things during his life that judged by today’s standards would not be acceptable.
Joe Biden is a career politician, and as a result, he has been an active participant in churning the Washington Political Machine.
Joe Biden is, however, the perfect guy to be the next U.S. President…
NASHVILLE, TENNESSEE (The Blunt Ogre) — During the final Presidential debate on Thursday night, former VP Joe Biden suggested that President Trump could not be an effective dictator.
Trump quickly retorted by saying, “Not true, I mean, I believe in Freedom and I love American freedom, nobody is more of a champion of American freedom than I am, I mean I’m the guy that’s always said nobody is better than America, especially when it comes to freedom, because freedom and America are, you know, the same really, I mean really we’re the same, one in the same, America and freedom…
