All my “long-term” relationships have failed, they all lasted years. Everytime I got out of one I felt relieved, freed, like I’d been in mental and emotional captivity. Marriage was a necessary institution to keep families together and raising children, however there are more than enough children now in society. What we need more of is power couples; a society that only celebrates unions that are designed for activism, rather than “love" and sex.
