Average folks losing seems to be the story for all of America. I think your article is correct in a sense that this is doomsday thinking, but I don’t think things are going to get better for the masses, they will get worse, much worse. The elite class in America has no boundaries anymore. They have gotten away with everything, and all that seems to happen is some public outcry. But if we have learned anything, it is that the wealthy and powerful care little for the plight of everyone else. SF probably will become out of this world expensive, as will NYC, and every other desirable place to live. More and more people will be displaced again, and again, and again, until their living situation is so untenable that they will either resist somehow, or they will die. If that sounds doomsday-ish, we’ve seen it before throughout history time and time again. There is no reason to believe that life for the average person will improve, in fact, there is only evidence to show that it will continue to get worse for a very long time. With that, bonne nuit!
