I don’t agree, this seems alarmist. Social Media is not needed, so one can easily abstain. Furthermore, I can’t think of any instance where someone would not apply for a visa because of social media accounts. Obtaining a visa to another country is always backed by a very profound reason, this isn’t something people embark on lightly. If someone is going down that path, why would having to turn over Social Media accounts be a deterrent? I just don’t see it.
