Well… now see this is a comment that I can take to the bank. If I receive nothing else from my article, your response here was well worth it. Why? Because this is discourse. This is a fucking conversation now. THAT’S what I think is needed.
I understand your comparison, and it makes sense to me. I also can actually imagine what your MGTOW experience must have been like, and I believe that type of silencing attack on anyone is disgusting. I don’t necessarily agree with everything you say, but to hell with anyone that says that you have no right to say it, and how dare they personally attack and threaten you. That is injustice, and as I stated in my article, I fucking hate injustice.
I don’t like the idea that some feel that as a man I am just experiencing this now. This isn’t new, part of the reason that I’m so outspoken is that I’ve just had it, after listening to people clamor and dominate each other for over 30 years, I’m fed up.
Have things changed in the male/female dynamic? Yes, and over the past 4 -5 years, I certainly have been forced to see some female-specific discrimination and injustice that previously I was not aware of, but I also see how the progress cuts both ways, and I’ve been on the receiving end of that double-edged sword a couple of times.
What’s truly frustrating for me is that I am not an enemy to equality, feminism, women, sexual freedom, pro-choice, progressive society etc… In fact, I’ve been an active supporter, and I raise my daughter to be independent, strong and critical. So when I am attacked in such a manner it’s very disheartening, it feels extremely unjust, but worse, really fucking pointless.
Your three articles were a very nice read, and thank you for sharing them. I appreciate you taking the time to read and to respond.
