While I appreciate your criticism, I hold the violence and carnage associated with socialist governments to be self-evident and common knowledge.
This article is not on the history of murderous socialist radicals, but just to same a few of the atrocities: Korean War, Vietnam War, Cuban Revolution, Laotian Civil War, Cambodian Civil War, and the Ethiopian Civil War.
And a few of the rockstars of Socialism: Kim Jung-il, Vladimir Lenin, Joseph Stalin, Leonid Brezhnev, Pol Pot, Fidel Castro, Che Guevara, and Mao Zedong.
These names say all that needs to be said. I find it alarming actually that you say that socialism does not cause these things, as it is the application of socialist ideology under the banner of communism that led to literally tens of millions of people dying violently.
Capitalism on the other hand simply is not associated with these type of genocidal events that are the hallmark of almost every communist nation that has ever existed! Perhaps imperialism has quite a lot of blood on its hands and imperialist societies that function under capitalist economies, but even so, certainly not anywhere as much as communism!
